KuneKune Pigs

By chance we stumble on a beautiful pair of sister Kunekunes,  We were in PA. looking to buy three Alpine goats, the owner of the farm took us inside to look at a beautiful buckskin doe Alpine goat and there in a stall next to the doe we call Bella were two Kunekunes. They were not only adorable but gentle and the rest is history. It took a month before we were ready to receive them. during this time a pasture had to be fenced and build a condo to provide them shelter. We were told these cute gentle pigs were once on the verge of extinction. We decided these were for our farm. Kunekunes are gentle grazers, come in  many beautiful and different colors and coat patterns. We are breeding our sows with a most handsome boars.

The KuneKune is a small breed of domestic pig from New Zealand.  They are hairy with a robust build, the Polynesian word “KuneKune” means 'fat, round'  with wattles hanging from their lower jaws. Their color ranges from black and white, to ginger, cream, gold-tip, black, brown and tri-colored. They have a docile, friendly nature and are often kept as pets. they can reach up to 250 lbs.

they are a true pasture pig and love to dine in the garden.
